7.How long these wooden bathtubs last?

A bathtub made of siberian pine wood may lasts for about 20 years, buts if its made of thermo wood it can be used 50+ years. This latter requires a special method. The wood itself is heated to 180-200 c°.

During the process the capillar vessels burns ( they carry the water and nutrients within the tree) and after all it prevents them to absorb water anymore. It means there’s no more dryout, swell or wood-warping. It requires a very precise craftmanship.
